Vang Vieng Waterfall
Waterfalls are plentiful in Laos and are a must to visit while you are here so have an easy and relaxing day as you swim, explore and relax in the Lao countryside. Also on this tour you will meet the local ethnic tribes surrounding Vang Vieng. Visit an ethnic Khmu village and learn about their culture and how they differ from the other ethnic tribes of Laos.
At 9:00 am we will depart from the VLT office in Vang Vieng, either by car or bicycle and head towards the mountains, our first stop being a local ethnic Khmu Village. Your English speaking guide will explain to you about the Khmu ethnic minority their culture and how they differ from other tribes in Laos.
Then we will leave for the waterfall, the locals describe the mist from the tall falling waters as flowers rising. The rest of the day will be spent enjoying the waterfall so there will be plenty of time swim, jump from the surrounding rocks and shower in the crystal waters. You can also relax in the bamboo huts while you take in the majestic scenery of the limestone cliffs and lush jungle.
At the waterfall we will have a traditional Lao lunch that your guides will prepare for you or you can learn how to cook Lao food. Your guides will teach you how to live off the jungle and which plants of the jungle are edible.
At the end of the day you will be taken back to the VLT office in Vang Vieng.
