The Cocoon Vang Vieng Resort

Birdsong and butterflies abound in The Cocoon Vang Vieng Resort's well kept grounds, with the beautiful large butterflies giving the resort and rooms their name. You can splash into the swimming pool, swim in the clean river or even wade across to nearby riverside bars or if you'd prefer to keep dry you can stroll down the road to them instead. Or you can simply just stay put and relax on loungers and watch river life go by. The Lao style bungalows are about 5 minutes walk along small lanes from Vang Vieng's main street.

The Cocoon Vang Vieng Resort is an oasis in itself with each bungalow having a private balcony and the large grounds being home to a swimming pool, riverside sala, restaurant and bar, volleyball court, patong court and even a pair of cheeky monkeys to keep you entertained or turtles to admire.

The Cocoon's restaurant; Cafe Kamsouk, has a lovely view across the river to the mountains and Phou Paa Deng. Decorated by the famous Lao artist, Mr Kamsouk, this restaurant is full of ambiance is open from 7:30am to 2:00pm and from 5:00pm to 10:00pm. The menu offers a wide selection of dishes including full breakfasts, western dishes and Lao and Thai foods. Snacks and cold drinks are on sale until the evening at this peaceful spot.

The large property features not only pleasant gardens and a riverside sala but also a pleasant swimming pool.
