Mature trees shade the bungalows, most of which have a river view. The large grounds look directly across to stunning views of limestone peaks. The highlight of a visit to Thavisouk Resort must be watching the sunset behind the mountains as clouds of bats emerge from caves inside the peaks. Guests can cross the river to explore the countryside, local villages and the many fascinating caves.

At the Thavisouk Resort, the bamboo roofed restaurant with open sides offers sala seating with a classic Vang Vieng river and mountain view. From breakfast until evening, meals are served in a relaxing atmosphere from a menu of Lao, Thai and western dishes. Guests can swim in the river from the Resort, or simply relax in the large garden surrounded by butterflies and birds. A hammock and large wooden seating swing offer comfortable spots for contemplation.
