Champa Lao The Villa

Champa Lao the Villa is a surprising tropical oasis in the middle of Vang Vieng. Through an unassuming vine-covered entrance and dog friendly reception (you’ll be competing with some sleepy pooches for space on the loungers), you’re suddenly in a lush, leafy garden. The 80-year old building has been smartly restored and retains its charms. The stairs up to the second floor are steep but worth it as it takes you up to the canopy of the garden. You’ll feel like you’re staying in a tree house in the Lao jungle—without sacrificing the modern comforts.

The rooms have a surprisingly contemporary feel with clean white walls, throw pillows and a brightly painted feature wall. The white bathrooms are simple but in pristine condition and get natural light.

Champa Lao the Villa is a 7-minute walk from the town center and is down a quiet side street, which means having serenity without being too far from the action.
