Mr Bua Tong and Mrs Amphone Phantavong are an exceptionally warm and friendly older couple from Vang Vieng. Throughout the years, they have seen many changes to their home town and thousands of guests come and go, but their genuine hospitality has never dwindled since first opening Amphone Guesthouse in 2000.

Mr Bua Tong was orignally a teacher while his wife, Mrs Amphone worked in the market. With plans to build a new family house, Mr Bua Tong's sister suggested they incorporate a guest house into the family home on thier prime central property in Vang Vieng, and since this vision was conceived, they have fulfilled their dreams.

Vang Vieng is home sweet home for this couple who hold a genuine smile when talking about the beautiful scenery and life of the town. And in opening Amphone Guesthouse, these owners want to make guests feel like they are athome too.
